Over two days, Hayley will guide you through the process of creating your own finished 30cm square floral painting using acrylics. Through demonstrations, gentle guidance, and personal attention, you’ll explore composition, colour mixing, layering, brushwork, and ways to capture light and atmosphere in your work.

 

With approximately 12 hours of tuition across the weekend, there is plenty of time to slow down, enjoy the creative process, and paint at a relaxed pace in a supportive environment.

Weekend Flow

 

Saturday

Arrive and settle into your accommodation before beginning a full day in the studio at 9am. Together we’ll explore inspiration, colour palettes, composition, and begin building your painting step by step.

 

Enjoy beautiful meals throughout the day and unwind in the evening beside the fire with fellow creatives.

 

Sunday

After breakfast, we return to the studio around 9am to refine and complete your artwork. Hayley will guide you through final details, colour harmony, and finishing touches before a relaxed farewell in the afternoon around 4pm.

 

About Hayley

Hayley Krüger is an award-winning artist based in the Swan Valley of Western Australia. Known for her vibrant botanical paintings and still life works inspired by Australian flora, her work combines expressive colour, strong composition, and delicate detail.

 

Hayley’s paintings have been exhibited across Australia and internationally and are held in private and corporate collections worldwide. Through her workshops and retreats, she loves helping others discover the joy of creativity in a warm and encouraging environment.

Independent Stay Package

Greenhills has just eight guest rooms within our historic homestead, making our retreats intentionally small and personal.

We occasionally offer a limited number of places for guests staying in nearby accommodation or in a caravan/motorhome parked at Greenhills.

These guests still enjoy the full retreat experience, including:

• Daily tuition

• Morning and afternoon tea

• Lunch and dinner at Greenhills

• Evening gatherings and demonstrations

• Full access to the studio

The only difference is that accommodation is provided off-site.

Options include:

• Accommodation in York (approximately 18 minutes away)

• Accommodation at Whitegum Farm (approximately 6 minutes away)

• Self-contained caravans or motorhomes parked at Greenhills (powered, showers/toilets available)

A reduced retreat fee applies when accommodation is not included.

Price: $640 (Shared room).  A 10% single room occupancy surcharge applies for a private room.

The above price is for a shared room. As most people prefer not to share with someone they don't know, shared rooms are only allocated to friends or couples requesting the shared option. 

Price includes accommodation, meals, workshop tuition, and all painting materials.

Optional Extended Stay

 

Guests are welcome to extend their stay by arriving on the Friday afternoon ready for a fresh start in the morning and or extending their stay to include the Sunday night:
